You can try cigar fish. farlowell in my opinion does not eat BBA.

It is definitely not good enough to just bank on algae eaters to control algae. Algae will grow faster than the algae eater can eat if you do not get the fundamental right, ie CO2 and nutrients.

Do a search in the forum about BBA, you will get tons of info about controlling BBA through good level of CO2 and fertiliser dosage.

Cigar fish could do the trick but do consider that cigar fish can be quite aggressive. If yours is a 2 ft and below tank, a cigar fish maybe too big for your tank.

I have had great success controlling BBA with consistent high levels of CO2. Of course you need a way to get rid of the BBA you have now. For this I use H2O2 (Hydrogen Peroxide) at a typical concentration of 3%. This is just like the stuff you get in the drug store. I use a syringe to squirt it directly on the algae in the tank. It starts dying almost instantly. Siphon off the dead algae the next day. I recommend only doing small patches at a time, so that you can really kill that patch and not add too much H2O2 to your tank. If you search FINS and the web for this procedure you will find recomended concentrations. I use no more than 30mL at a time in my 50gal (190L) but I think I am being overly cautious. I think I read that that amount is safe in 15gal (70L), but don't take my word for it.
