Looking for PL 13W light

Hi,

Would appreciate if anyone could help?

I currently have a 9W PL light for my tank. Am looking at switching tubes to 11W or 13W.

Know where I can find a 11W or 13W tube that is the same size as a 9W set-up?

Went to NA and Mr Chan mentioned to try the hardware shops....

There's a hang-on light set that is 13W PL from Ocean Free. c328 should have it.

I don't think you can just replace the tube. The size would be different and the ballast would not be strong enough.

I don't think you need a ballast for low wattage bulbs. Btw there's not much difference between 11w n 13w.

Yes not much diff between 11 and 13....so looking for either one as long as can fit my current casing...thanks!

Erh.. Actually for 13w its very difficult to find.... NA got sell 11w light tubes rite?

not true la ... go lighting shops sure have one ... even some NTUC also have ... usually the typical 10W PLC, 9W PL, 11WPL, 13W PL etc etc

Check the ballast rating of your light set. If it is like 10W, then it can also drive a 11W tube. So can just replace the tube -- if it can fit in the housing.

Yes can use 11W or 13W, problem is it can't fit into the casing....guess I'll have to buy a new set.

If getting a new set, can also try using a table lamp with daylight-rated bulb. Most are of this wattage rating. No ballast required some more. Can get those with adjustable arms from IKEA.

Checked C328, Nature Aquarium, Polyart, no PL 13W available.
