For the Ca thingy, I am using CaNO3
Hey,
I discovered that my plant may have suffered from some Calcium deficiency as they looked stunt, small and curl. I have tried what some people have done ie to put Coral chip in my filter as a dose to provide extra calcium and magnesium. Questions:
1. Does this method really work or a better option is to add Calcium carbonate? Heard Calcium Chloride looks like a good choice because it's soluble and help lower ph (moderate acidity is good for plant)
2. How long will the coral chip supply of calcium last? NA Mr Chan told me i can changed chips whenever I washed filter (~ 3 mths)
3. One setback is coral chips also raised ph and kh. Not ideal as I tried to lower ph.
4. What are the coral chip elements content? any negative impact?
5. Why many fertilizer in market never have Calcium added in their formulation?
There were recommendation to use Seachem Equilibrium. But it add other stuff apart from Ca. If purely, just Ca, what is the best option? Anyone has any experience in this? hope to hear from you. ThankS!
