    An otherwise overlooked species, beautiful in its own right. I like its pale green anal fin and the subtle gold specs on its caudal. Some people may think it's a drab fish and therefore unworthy to breed but I think otherwise.

    Here is a photo of the male from a pair I received from a nice guy.



    The pair bred once but the male gobbled down the eggs shortly after. They were previously kept in a peat bottom tank filled with moss and I only moved them into this tank yesterday. I really hope to see the pair breed again.

    Yeap. Problem is the pair is very shy as per all wild-caught fish. They only come out to feed when I'm around their tank, but when I pop the food in, they dart back into hiding.

    I only saw them spawning once and then no more. Hope that the move trigger them to spawn somehow.

    Yeah and mostly it was water change that instigate them to spawn when they were with me.
