In the midst of rescaping my two feet tank. Have always been using HC as my foreground and currently thinking of trying out UG. After reading experiences shared online by others, it seems that UG will uproot eventually even with constant trimming, it's just a matter of time (soon or later).

Anyone been keeping UG for long term? What would likely happen if I mixed the two plants together?

If the condition is right for your UG, they will creep very fast and grow like weeds and eventually overrun your HC Cuba. You need to constantly trim and demarcate the area by cutting the running new shoots otherwise they may look unkempt and cover your whole tanks easily. However having said that both plants are not easy to keep.

I have an issue with my UG as well. They grow upwards and uprooting instead of sideways . The HC is growing fine. What is the best condition for UG?
