Hi Guys,
Anyone can advice what to do with my neocaridina culls.
They are from my 40cm cube which I used to house some fire reds and chocolate shrimps.
Now that I've decided to keep only chocolate shrimps, I don't know what to do with the cross breeds / wild coloured ones.
I've already transferred close to 50 to my 1 footer ...have another 40 or so juveniles but felt sorry to flush down the toilet bowl.
Any suggestions?
Thinking of getting rid of the ones in the 1 footer as well as already over-stocked.
Really hope that AQ can allow giving away of shrimps as it should not be considered as "buy & sell"

Please don't flush it down the toilet. There are many people on AQ who will be willing to take them off your hands.
Sent you a Pm...
Hi! Usually I sell them off another forum, but now I release them at a particular reservoir to add on to the biodiversity there
Are these shrimp native to Singapore?
Nah, my shrimps are really hardy lols, I've added ferts and CO2 to my tank before and my tank temperature is around 29 degree Celsius; still no casualties
Haha I usually drop them off the higher points of the reservoir where there are little fishes (number) , and sometimes I still see them there!
Malaysia have the native shrimp called Malaya shrimp. Releasing non-native animals will reduce native shrimp numbers(maybe) and we might never get to know they exist(rare and undiscovered), maybe there is a singapore shrimp out there....
Hi demoon, singapore shrimp exists...
Well i don't encourage anyone to release fish or shrimps to the wild for the sake of the natural ecosystem... Just post to "give away " may be a better way.
Check out my Blog on planted tank, good for newbies ( i am lazy to retype all the info i know, so please click and read below link... i hope you don't fall asleep while reading)

i was thinking more on the line of the Neocaridina SP, yes i know the singapore flower shrimp exist. but ya, i agree with wongce
I was reading up on local shrimps species and apparently even the singapore wood/flower shrimps are also not from singapore either.
Some interesting info on locally found shrimp species (not necessarily originating only from singapore, most probably introduced or also found in malaysia too):
