Hi all. It has been a week since my tank has been set up.

Tank size: 30cmx26cmx30cm (but holding 17L of water)
Co2 injection: 2bps for 6 hours. (will have to get my hand on 4dkh solution to find out the level of dissolved co2 in tank)
Lights: Up aqua pro led z-10 and aquazonic al353
    Photoperiod: 6 hours.
    substrate: ada amazonian soil
flora: monte carlo, jungle val, star moss, riccia and 2 unknown plants (at the background of my tank, would appreciate some id)

fauna: not at the moment, my cherry shrimps, guppies, neon and cardinal tetras are currently in a holding tank.

My aim is to see the MC carpet well. Hence, would like to start on an EI dosing scheme.

As of now, I am looking at:
    - 1L bottle KNO3 (5%) from Singapore Hydroponics shop for N & K
    - Potassium Dihydrogen Phosphate (KH2PO4) for P.
    - seachem flourish comprehensive for trace elements.

    Based on the following calculator:
    http://calc.petalphile.com/

    My fert regime would be:
    Sunday: 50% water change with 4ml KNO3 (5%) liquid, 4ml (KH2PO4) by adding 7.917 g KH2PO4 to 1000.0 mL of distilled water. (macro)
    Monday: 2ml seachem flourish comprehensive
    Tuesday: 4ml KNO3 (5%) liquid, 4ml (KH2PO4)
    Wednesday:2ml seachem flourish comprehensive
    Thursday: 4ml KNO3 (5%) liquid, 4ml (KH2PO4)
    Friday: 2ml seachem flourish comprehensive
    Saturday: Rest day

Are there any problems with this fert regime, dosage and the KH2PO4 preparation?
Do I need to include flourish equilibrium or iron dosage?

Would really appreciate all the help!
    Thank you in advance.

Regime looks ok, important thing is to be strict with 50% water change weekly. But your tank looks pretty new, probably want to do wc every 2 to 3 days if it's already over a week old.

Btw I hope you are aware that star moss isn't meant to survive for long underwater...

Hi aquariumdude, thank you for the reply.
The tank will be 2 weeks old this Friday. This is actually a rescaped tank and I recycled most of the biofilter media while adding in new ones, sponges were recycled too. However soil would be new.
If I do wc every 2-3days, would it affect the ei fert regime?
May I know the reason for doing wc every 2-3days?
And I have no clue that star Moss is not meant to survive for long underwater.
I guess I will go read up about star Moss. Thanks for the highlight!

If you siphon out the water into a white bucket/container during your wc, you'll notice it's light greenish. It's actually organic waste from the plants. There will tend to be a build up of more organic waste in the earlier stage of your tank, because plants are acclimatizing to the new environment and in the process dying/melting. More wc earlier on will help dilute the organic waste in the water which in turn will much reduce algae in the long run.

Don't think it will affect your regime. If I were you I would just do additional wc on wednesday and add in a ton more supporting plants in there to fend of algae at this stage.

    Thanks for the explanation!
Will include WC in my regime for wednesday then. How many weeks should i sustain this wednesday water change for?
In addition, do you know of any supporting plants I could get from seaview?
    That's where i normally frequent.
    Thank you.
