    According to Google, yes. Get Porous rocks so that the roots have something to grip on but I think wood might be a better choice.

    sorry to contradict you, muar chee bro.

    subwassertang is also called german seaweed. My experience, it does not grow roots. Tie it to a rock, wait for it to grow bigger in mass and then re-tie it to form a ball. if you have much to start with, just wrap and tie it. you will have to trim it, if you desire a perfect ball form.

    Mini pelia looks nicer for myself, but it is much more difficult to grow.

    How do you go about wrapping it using strings? I read they can be easily torn apart and mess up the tank. So got to be extra careful before getting some

    As your planted experience grows, your tying skill become better and better.

    Usually a tie a knot with the rock, then put the plants on top and circle the string around.
