Hi guys, just need to ask something. I went down to NA today and bought pair of 36W elbiru 8000k tubes. As i felt that 6500 was a little yellow, i asked him whether theres a brighter and whiter light available. He recommended me this 8k one. Now i m regretting as some of my friends have said it does not yeild good results. Will it be very bluish? Hmmm any input from you guys?
Cant wait to go home and try it out.... hope its not too bluish... crap....

for planted tanks, 5500K-8000K are generally fine.... you didn't try the tubes before you bought them? I find 7500K yields a good visual balance (so yours should be quite ok).... only those 10000K or above ones are really 'blue'.
