Hi Mods,
I am using Tapatalk and I liked this feature of displaying a picture thumbnail above the thread ("quickview" without going into the thread yet).
But I am not able to figure out how it was done.
This thread is an example.
If you open in Tapatalk, the Championship picture will be displayed in the Discussion section (not into the thread yet):

This is one of my thread:
http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...k-with-8L-tank
There is no thumbnail even though I have shared some photos in it.
How do I link a particular photo and make that as the thread's thumbnail?
Thank you in advance.

Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
Thank you in advance. 🍻

Sorry, I have no idea. Tapatalk site has no documentation on this and I've not been able to spot the differences in the threads which causes the thumbnails to show or not. One thing I'm half sure of is that images that are uploaded as attachments, but not embedded in the text does not show.

Not a problem. I will do some "testing" myself when I'm updating my thread. I'll update here if i managed to discover something. Cheers.

Great. Thanks.

ok, I give up. I created a new thread on a new problem in my tank. Used that as an opportunity to test but could not find anything.
Things that I tried:
1. Upload into AQ Gallery and paste the URL into the post.
2. Add as attachment into the post.
3. Upload into a photo hosting site (tinypic) and paste the IMG URL into the post.
4. Use tapatalk app to upload photo from smartphone (original method).
Let's put this to closure. There is no issues in browsing AQ in Tapatalk. I am just curious on how the photo can be displayed differently.
I will probably jump into someone's new thread when I see it loaded in this manner.

I was browsing other forums in tapatalk and chanced upon this post. It talks about the legacy Tapatalk Pro (which converts into VIP status now).

In this post, it mentioned about unlimited image storage.
Not sure if this is what the others are using to make the picture appear in the thread header.
I'm not pursuing this, just putting it for reference since I came across it.

No. I checked the other threads that show the thumbnail. They were using different types of images. Besides, Tapatalk image storage are not enabled for AQ.
I'm wondering whether is the new version of the free Tapatalk that is doing it.

There are lots good of image hosting sites. But try using this http://picuploaders.com It has direct image links, BBCode and HTML thumbnails.
Thank you.
Somehow one of my recent thread worked when I was using photobucket.
This is the thread:

I'll try more in future and observe any pattern on it.
