Does anyone know where I can go to get barbs and such to build my own co2 reactor? I know where I can get the water filter case. However I am having difficulty looking for items like a NSP connector to a 5/8 hose barb connectors like this.

Check at hardware shops? I buy most of my DIY hose and piping stuff from a company called Teck Siong Huat Hardware Pte Ltd, here is a link to them:

They also sell water filter housings too, which you can use to make DIY reactors.

Btw... a Co2 reactor from LFS only costs around $11-$15, so its usually easier to just buy one, unless you have a unique or specific reactor design in mind.

Thanks! will check them out. I have a cerges type reactor in mind. In my experience at high bubble rate, the atomic or sera type reactors will still blow bubbles into the tank. I am trying to avoid a 7-up type tank! I actually have one already but its totally sealed up. Not sure what is inside after so long and decided its time for a DIY again!

Sound good, do post a write-up thread on your DIY reactor build... there will be many hobbyists who would be keen on the design, especially to run higher Co2 injection rates in larger tank systems.
