Welcome to AQ!!!! Separate males from females is the best way....
FullSizeRender.jpgHi
I'm pleased that I found this forum especially as it was by accident - it looks really helpful.
I have already seen lots of good advice that I am bookmarking left, right & centre.
I am fairly new at this game. I had 4 healthy but small red(ish) swordtails in an 80litre simple set-up but a few months ago they turned in to about 15 and there has been another generation since then. I have too many and want to get back-to-basics so if anyone would like to take the young away, you are welcome to them.
Meanwhile, I need to study this site to see how I can avoid such a population again.
Best wishes,
wxy

Hi dont mind if I ask a question related to this... I have been hunting for black mollies but most shops keep pointing me to what I think are black swordtails... are black mollies from sword tail species?
