Still stressed. Should have waited a while after the fish has settled in, but was impatient.

why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Quite a while ago at Choong Sua Aquarium. By the way, just leave your telephone number with uncle and tell him you want all the special ones. He WILL call you. He knows who you are.

A princely sum of S$2.0 each. Still affordable for these beauties in my opinion..

    That's Black Neon Tetra, right?
No wonder that eye seem familiar -- with the dash of red above.

They are lovely with that interesting yellow sheen. They don't seem as black as the usaul ones. Or the colour hasn't shown?

    Nice.

Nice shot Benny. The black neon is a classic tetra although pretty common nowadays. Check out the Poecilocharax weitzmani at CS. I brought home some and they're doing OK so far.
    Fish.. Simply Irresistable

    Nice.
    Thanks Koah Fong,

The first picture show them in stress coloration so the colors are not intense. The second picture was something I was toying around with. The neon reflection only seems to come out when you shoot the fish at an angle. Like Green Neon does not look green at all unless viewed 45 degrees from the front or back. So most profile pictures of green neon looks blue except when you shoot them in a group and some of them are angled. Interesting isn't it?

    Thanks Rashid,

Actually, these were from Choong Sua Aquarium. Haven't been there for a while and will pop by when I have the chance. It's been ages since I last visited a fish shop (excluding C328 as I stay there).

I just bought one pc of Copella eigenmani last night, is quite expensive here...and it jumped out today when I was away.

    Benny,
I thought they are cheaper than that, like less than $1 ? I keep them with Cardinals as I think they complement each other, and they are not shy.
