Sometime back, I think I saw a baby yellow pleco in a tank in one of the farms in Pasir Ris. I think its Ah Pek farms but when I called, they simply said they only sell plants so it would be futile to ask them what species is that. It probably one of the pleco they anyhow throw in to control as generic cleaning crew.

After some research, I think it is a L144 (as per attached pic). Or otherwise, any other pleco/fish that you know which might fit this description?

Does anyone know where in Singapore can I find this pleco?

Also, does all plecos grow up to big eventually? I have a pretty small tank only about 42cm x 19cm x 29.5cm, so it will be some serious consideration if I want to include this cutie in my tank?

It is known as L144 but in fact the ones sold aren't real L144 (no offspring of the original described L144). Also called Lemon BN overhere (Europe).
    They will get 12 - 15 cm.
Think your tank is to small for this fish (80 cm comes first)ImageUploadedByTapatalk1426353168.649806.jpg

Thanks for answering my question. Guess I should give up that thought about even hunting one down for my tank.

The one I saw was very cute. It was probably a baby as it was barely 1 inch long, flat and wide lying down on the waterbed "sleeping" and very bright yellow.

For a tank of that size, your best option will still be Otocinclus, Parotocinclus and similar species.

L144 is usually available at NKS and C328.
Watch out for the blue eyes in L144.
Red eyed/albino bristle nose (Ancistrus cf. cirrhosus) is not L144.
