Help to ID this plant!

Hi

Can someone help me ID this plant. When i got it, it was broad leave. Now, the new leaves that are growing are slimmer and they looked like mini fireworks! . i planted them in the foreground becoz they are quite small and short when i got them, are they suppose to be background plants?
