Would like to know more about these sp.

I recently acquired some Pristella tertas, are they common and has anyone else kept these before? How to sex them?

Ah - the X-Ray Tetra. They are pretty, right?

I don't know how to sex them. I just searched and most websites mentioned "The male is much more slender".

But, anyway, it should be possible to breed them. Some weeks back, I noticed a new 1cm baby X-Ray Tetra in my 2.5ft planted tank. It must have escaped the jaws of the other tetras (Neons, Cardinals, X-Rays) and Rams among the thick vegetation.
