ok, seeing that you have some plants which does better with low temp., if you can afford a chiller, then go for one. For lights, you can calculate a 2.5 to 3 watts per gal
I need some advice on setting up a 4ft Planted Tank.
Desired Tank occupants:
25 B.briggitae
25 B.merah
20 C.pygmaeus
20 C.habrosus
100-200pc of various shrimps (cherry, malayan, tiger, yamato, wood, green, mosquito, CRS, Diamond, Ninja, bee)
Might be using these plants:
HC
E.Tennelus
Marimo Balls
Java Moss
Taiwan Moss
Erect Moss
Riccia
Glosso
Pellia
Crinum calamistratum
Downoi
Wat I've currently is a spare 4ft with only lapis gravel in it... I need lights (but how much light is enough)... I need CO2... do I need base fert?
Do I need chiller or can DIY fans do? Wats the usual cost of a chiller? Any advice on the following choice of plants n tank occupants?

using the tank calculations, yr tank volumn wld be bout 250 Ltrs or 67 US Gallon. therefore at 2.5 to 3 wpg, u will need bout 200 Watts of lights.
