    Re: Plant ID?

Should be a ludwigia species plant... its sold at many LFS, so its a common plant.

I kept it half submersed and half emersed in my water garden before and it was able to grow well, so i guess its a relatively easy plant to maintain.

It is either ludwigia repens or ludwigia palustris.

Doesn't look like ludwigia emersed or other wise, more likely to be Alternanthera ficoidea, which is not truly aquatic...

    Update:

Thanks for the help! I think Xiaozhuang is correct. They have the same characteristics as the species mentioned. Just a heads up for those who want to get this plant for your tank, they grow insanely fast!

    Re: Plant ID?

Hmm? It's not a true aquatic, so it should not be in the tank.... it does well in terrariums. Underwater it goes through a rapid drowning response by rapid elongation of stem. This gives the illusion of growth, but the net mass would not have increased.
