Anyone could help and advise me how to tackle this brown algae outbreak. My low tech tank is newly setup, running close to a month. Currently, the glass wall and nana plants are cover by this brown diatom.

Am aware that yamato and oto helps to clear up this brown diatom, however my tank is housing discus and altums.

Any other alternative on how to get rid of Mr Brown. Thanks in Advance.

Otos are the best for clearing brown diatoms, but i agree there may be a risk with discus and altums in the tank.

Maybe can try adding nerite snails, they eat those type of algae too. Not sure if the fishes would bother them though, can try and see.
