hi, is there any fish (small fishes only.. coz mine is a nano 1foot tank) or shrimps i can use to help fight algae? my algae is like fine, short hair sticking onto glass, co2 tubing and nana leaves. there're also other thread-like or cotton-like algae sticking to leaves and co2 tubing.

    thx.
my planted tank is a small 12\"x7\"x10\"(height)

Have a look at the aquatic FAQ...you'll find all sorts of algae eaters and ways to combat them there..

    cheers.

Focus on what makes a plant grow and forget about the algae. All that is needed for the algae is just removal via yourself (beats any algae eater.). It will not return if the plants needs are taken care of but will if it is not address.

    shrimps that eat algae

almost all shrimp in the market eat algae. exception are ghost shrimp (the feeder kind).

for fish, otos, some algae eating gobies, anostomous ternetzi, sae, black balloon mollies.... so I doubt any of those are suitable.

note that certain critters eat only certain types of algae.
