Sounds like diatoms... usually otos and shrimps also eat those too.
Hi, my tank rockscape and plants are covered with a brown color deposit. When i use a tweezer to scrape the rocks. The brown deposit will drop off. I seen my SAE eating the deposit that i scrape off.
What is this brown deposit? is it an algae ? if so how do i remove it.
Thank you.

Just reduce the photo file size before upload... or upload to a photo sharing site like photobucket, then link from there.
i try uploading a file size of 200kb and size 400x400, but still get error of exceed the limit.

The photos are not really clear, though from what i can see there seems to be a combination of brown and green algae on the rocks and plants. Just have to clean and manually remove them, or let the algae management crew handle it.
If you see alot of loose brown debris on the rocks, it could also be decomposed waste or mulm, that is usually a sign that you should to improve the overall tank circulation (so that mulm and debris gets pushed towards the intake, and doesn't keep settling on hardscape) or you just have to vacuum it up regularly during tank maintenance.
ok .. thanks.. i try to improve the circulation in the tank.
