    Well, if you use the bleach method, after the soak and cleaning is done, you'll need to soak the diffuser in dechlorinator solution to remove the chlorine content, before using it back in your tank.

    For hydrogen peroxide, it degrades to just oxygen and water, so after the soak treatment is done, you can directly use it back in the tank, saves the extra step.

    As for the Up Aqua Co2 diffuser, if you got the newer model, the unit can be disassembled and the ceramic tube can be removed to soak and clean separately. If you have the older model which cannot be disassembled, then have to flush through it or soak the entire unit in the cleaning solution.
