Hi all, i'm having some problems cleaning the inlet of a lily pipe.
Its gotten second hand from a bro from this forums.

managed to clean so much of it, now i'm left with the end.
i used filter wool to push it through, taking away all algae with it. but it gets stuck at the inlet as water comes out of the holes, rather than pushing it through.

is there any method that i can use to remove it without sticking something through??

Hey bro. That does not work as the bottom of the lily pipe is glass as well.. Taping up the holes would mean that the water will have no way to exit the pipes.

well it's wet.. The thing is that I can't reach the algae as it's quite far down the pipe. It's currently soaking in vinegar.. Doesn't seem to drop off.. Is there anything where by when I soak in it, the algae will just drop of by itself..?

Try hydrogen peroxide. You can get it in pharmacies (Guardian or Watson's). Not expensive. It breaks down into water and oxygen so no fear. It can be used in the tank with livestock in it.

As I said, not expensive so give it a try.

Normal bleach will do the job.
