I was trying to order some plants from Capricorn's website for self-collect, but their check out service seems to be faulty. I can't seem to be able to complete the order. It keeps telling me that "no shipping methods are found".

I emailed them last week, but until now still no reply.

Anyone have experience ordering from them before?

Also, what are their operating hours? Thanks.

I have visited them a few times and bought many plants directly from their grow-out ponds, seems most people just go to their location and buy. I usually visit in the late afternoon around 5-6pm to buy plants. Best to call them to confirm their opening times.

Didn't even realize that have an online ordering platform, my guess is its probably not a functional part of their website (most likely whoever designed it just put the cart feature in but never link properly or the link was changed).

They have basically the same variety of plants that you can get from most LFS (they are the suppliers anyways)... just that you can have access to much more quantity of the plants direct from their grow-out ponds. For example if you want 20+ pots of rotala rotundifolia, they can probably supply that quantity to you.

You'll need to check, treat and quarantine the plants though, those that are picked from the grow-out ponds tend to have lots of critters hitchhiking on.

Its a good experience to visit them, you can see how all these aquarium plants are grown in farm conditions... just ample nutrients and natural sunlight.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. My main concern was not being able to identify the plants cause I'm still very new to planted tanks. Capricorn finally replied mid last week and I collected my plants over the weekend. Very pleased with the quality of the plants.

i just purchased plants from them recently too. most of the plants are cheaper especially mosses, monte carlo and anubias. you have to be able to identify the plants though, sometime they dont know the exact species name. still a great place esp. to start a new tank.

I was a bit confused when I tried to locate it, then found that its in the same compound as Irwana. Call up Ah Gek and find out when she's in when you go. She's a great help.
If you need her number pm me.
