Someone mentioned limpets before, it's something like a snail infestation. I got them before too, =/
Looks somewhat like this right?:

Seems there's no way to remove these blasted creatures.
Hi guys,
I have a problem...A few weeks ago i got some A.coffefolia and it had some white spots on it..i thought it was nothing and planted it into the tank. This week after careful observation, i found that the tank was starting to be infested with these things!!! WHAT the hell are they? i tried to scrape them off but they leave a mark on the DW. they only seem to settle on hard things. Its white and scale like...looks almost like small puss filled pimples..ergh...so irritating.. when scraped off it looks almost powdery/flaky...i'll try to get a picture...for now any info you have on them would help tremendoulsy.... Thank you in advance.

Well...No...they dont look like that.
The general shape is teh same but mine is totally creamy white in colour..
i dont even know what it is...i have a feeling its some sort of fungus...
i'm just afraid that my scraping it off now has just caused a worse infection...
ergz!!! the idea of having to redo my woods again really irks me..
Any one has any ideas?
do you have any zebra snails in your tank? they lay eggs that look like sesame seeds on surfaces...
picture of the snails' eggs looks like the ones in the fourth picture here
pls correct me if i'm wrong
ranmasatome, yes, they are white in colour. In that shape, creamy white, and they look like they move. I also have them too. They appeared together with my snails. In my experience, my puffer didn't touch them.
In the end I just tore down the tank. Remember that "zen" tank I used to have? That was the one totally infested with everything.
you guys sure it aint snail eggs like what nanami pointed out?
For mine, they were the same size as my snails
Hi there,
I second Nanami's explanation. The Zebra snail's eggs look exactly like white/cream sesame seed (oval in size to be precise). They are all over the place on my DW and lava rock.
Gneh
YES!!!!!hahaha!!!! thanks Guys!!! now that i know what they are..i'm on a misson....scrape scrape scrape....no more worries that it'll grow on something again... they are snail eggs... i have just forgotten that i have had those zebras in there...they like to com out at night. Okay..gonna get my hands wet now...
thanks again.
Lol, lucky you I suppose. I have those and snails.
