I was cleaning my tank today when I spotted this on the glass:

It's about the size of a finger nail.
Here's a close up :

Can anyone help me identify it? Should I panic? How do i get rid of it?
Thanks in advance

Should be pond snail eggs.
Not nerite snails, these are what UA mentions
If it's on the glass, it must have been laid by some creature which did it. Why not let them hatch and grow to find out?
LIFE IS UNBEARABLE WITHOUT A FISH TANK!!!
Definitely eggs of a pond snail - look among your plants; it might have been hiding in there all along. You can scrape off the entire egg mass, and put it in a separate jar or container of water if you want to see the development of the eggs.
Small is beautiful.
Remove the eggs and hunt for the adults. Unless you have a puffer most likely snails will overrun your tank then it will be too late to do anything.
