Aquazonic is well known for technical error but it is not all bad,just minor repair will do if you know how to dismantle it.
Most of the time is the ballast but do check the connection wire to the on button. It could be that too.
Hey anyone knows where I can repair my aquazonic t5 lighting system??
One of the units is faulty and isn't lighting up. It's definitely not cuz of the tube. I'm thinking it could be the starter that's broken.
Anyone knows if there's anywhere I can go to get it repaired? And if so, how much does it cost!

for aquazonic, can call and check NA or Qian Hu to see if they have repair service.
normally is the ballast spoil and cannot hard to find the kind of ballast that they used.
I asked around at C328 they say they don't do repair for those.. Must send to sim lim or something...

It should just be a simple ballast inside. You can buy them at LFS.

The connections are shown on the product itself. Quite simple wiring.
Wah idk how to fix this kind of stuff... Btw the 2 tubes is separate or together?
Cuz I have 2 switches on my 4ft, on both switch there's 1 tube not working each...
Not sure about aquazonic but typically each ballast has the capacity to power 2 tubes. Each tube is independent.
From your description, it sounds like one ballast is not working. Could be the ballast, wire or switch.
Anyway, Aquazonic is one of Qian Hu's product. I don't expect it to be cheap to send it back to them for repair. But that's an option.

Servicing is $30 and 1 ballast cost $20 to repair... The guy on the phone ask me to just buy a new one
can convert to LED....
You can actually put it at the market place someone will buy it and repair it...
the casing can be reused as a led fixture..like this
How much am I supposed to sell it then..? Or should I try buying the ballast and fixing it myself? O.o
My advice to you is if you are a handy man, then you can try to remove the screws from the power switch side then trace where the ballast is, then see if you can find replacement for the ballast.
if it is those skinny long black type of ballast, most likely not possible to find in the open market.check the kind of ballast that qian hu is selling to see if they are the same.
If you are not a handy man, then maybe sell it away and buy a new one or just bare with it and use 1 tube.

how much did you pay for it when it is brand new?

HAHA if my tank could survive with 3 tubes x 54w why not!!
haha i fixed my balast for the aquazonic before. quite easy, just need to buy the correct one, the length of the wire different (Because of the left and right balast).
i went to QH to buy it and went home to fix it.
I just unscrewed the whole fixture.. And realise there is no ballast in it... It's all wires only. My friend's dad said its electronic so there's no ballast...
there is still ballast .. it is call electronic ballast..
looks like most likely it is hiding behind the reflector. Just remove bit by bit the reflector and see if you find it..
