    Hi guys im looking at seting up another tank for few of my cichla (peacock bass) and would like to go a live plant setup!

    Id like a low tec setup that iv not got to keep adding ferts every day and CO2" Don't mind using ferts once week! as big tank and will be doing around 80gals water change every week!

    Whot plants to add for big rowbust cichlids (they don't really dig) so hope the plants will be ok!

    For large tanks with large fishes, you can look at low maintenance plants like anubias and java ferns. They are tied to rocks or wood (no need substrate) so you can shift them around easily for cleaning and maintenance.

    Thanks for reply! was wonting a jungle look to tank with high rear plants to surface and mid level plants! also a carpet plant if that's possible! Are these plants ok with bigger fish please! Cryptocoryne sp/ Anubias sp/ Crinum sp/ Echinodorus sp

    All those plants are okay with big fishes, it just depends if the fishes you keep tend to uproot or eat plants, in which case it would be better to just stick to those with tough leaves and that are tied to objects (instead of planted in substrate).
