Bought these 2 plants because wife likes them, but forgot to check are these aquatic plants.

Anyone know what are their name and are they aquatic plants?

1st photo should be Rotala sp. nanjenshan. The thicker leaves you currently see at the lower sections are the emersed form, the thin needle-like shaped leaves at the top are the submersed leaf form.

2nd photo might be Alternanthera reineckii 'Purple' (based on the purplish leaves)... can't confirm though, maybe others can help ID.
