Argh., totally hate BBA. Ever lasting pest that I can't get rid of. But I do admit that when they grow evenly and lush, they do look "natural".

I love BBA
This is one interesting article about living with algae.
Cheers everyone!

Yeah. Agree on the bba on leaves. I had to sacrifice so many leaves on my buceps due to bba. Argh

I hate BBA too... but GBA (green beard algae) can be nice.
Here is an example of GBA covered rocks in one of my previous planted tanks:
Unfortunately i killed most of it while testing AlgExit treatment (its a before and after photo). After that i wasn't able to get the same fuzzy green algae to grow on the rocks in that particular tank anymore. The chemical treatment probably dealt a deathblow on that algae and it couldn't recover.
Good news is i've managed to replicate the GBA covered rocks effect in my latest sulawesi shrimp tank project though, will be posting a journal on it soon.
I've always wanted more Algae so that my Yamatos would not be starved and end up snatching my fish food...... I had 4 ottos and out of all 4 only 2 survived. The rest died of starvation.

HI there Joey! Yeah! Same problem here. I guess it's Murphy's law that when I don't want algae it's everywhere but when I desperately need it it is nowhere to be found. I tried culturing phytoplankton but it was an epic fail......
