HELPPPPP After putting my bogwood and tying some moss on it, my plants no longer pearl anymore! Like completely!! Even the rotala stopped pearling and everything don't look like they're growing much anymore. Could it be that the nutrients have ran out since the lights and co2 are on for 12hrs a day?

Nutrient limitation could be a possibility, can try dosing more ferts and see if it helps.

Maybe also check the temperature of the tank water, cooler water has higher oxygen capacity, so it takes more oxygen production to reach saturation point and generate pearling (compared to warmer water conditions).

I only have a cooling fan so the temperature I would say around 27-28?
I'm just worried my plants aren't photosynthesising properly or what because they were pearling a day or so ago but not anymore now

Have you check your Co2 system? Are the Co2 bubble still there? If you are using external reactor, check if the blades are rotating.

Re: First high tech planted tank corner

The CO2 is working perfectly. The CO2 are at 4-5bps and the external reactor blades are rotating really fast. There is however a column of air that will build up at the top of the reactor. Does that affect anything?

It's from another bro from AQ! He makes custom LED lights! If you're interested, you can go carousell and search for simoncxy custom led lights! He did a great job and has really good follow up services!

Anyway, I tied some Christmas moss on the bogwood too! It's not a lot cuz these were just trimmings given to me from a friend.

I got mine from seaview today, too. Able to support my evo led light and surprised that they fit my 12mm glass. Anyway they come with plastic screw nuts for tightening up to your tank glass thickness. Best of all, they cost a small fraction of those customized to different tank glass thickness sold in other LFS.

You might want to consider going a little bit deeper though. Nice setup anyways!

Thats just fungus or mold growing on the wood... i guess the humidity in your DSM tank is quite high and probably not much air circulation? Mold tends to grow in those stagnant conditions.

Just physically remove and clean off the mold. It'll be good to perhaps open the tank to allow some air exchange and circulation too.

That tank is flooded already and has been flooded for like 4-5days... I read online they said the fungus will be gone once my tank matures?

Oic... in that case, its normal for the mold to grow on newly submerged wood, they are just feeding on the surface of the wood. Usually it'll either clear on its own or later when you add shrimps they will eat it.
