Could be motor worn out or failed... either way, you can just bring it to Qian Hu (they are the local Eheim distributor) to check and see how much they quote for replacement motor unit part.
hi all
just bought an eheim 2217 from another forumer a few months ago. It was running fine, however one day it stopped flowing and became lifeless..
decommed the entire filter, plug in no rumbling nor gurgling sound. first time having problems with eheims.
Motor dead? Shorted? Where do I seek replacement?

can open the impeller compartment and see if it is turning or not... or is the impeller is too dirty and got stuck.
examine the parts in the impeller section of the diagram.. some might have some worn out or broken..

if everything looks ok, then maybe the motor is dead.
Like what UA mentioned, can bring to QH to have a check.
