Ahhhh... I love rescapes. Especially the moment when you decide to make a decision to start a new.

If only life had a rescape button... Sigh.

Sprinkle the seeds on Friday evening , this is how it looks today (Monday)
should have put a layer of soil on top.. but forgot and now regretted looks like the roots are moldy..

This looks like hairgrass? some of the roots are about 1cm long and rooted into the soil!

    another look of it..

    foreground supposed to be glosso

    hopefully can fill up soon...

Re: Time to get hands wet....

don't want to wait liao... just do it!
topped up the tank on Tuesday

    topping up

    with lights on

    just after top up...
no floating of any plants.. which is a good sign..
I think it is because when the seed germinate, there is a layer of gel clinging on to the soil hence there is no floating.

Wednesday-- looks a bit cloudy... hope it will clear up soon..

Re: Time to get hands wet....

I tried the same seeds. They grow very well in DSM. The plantlets shot up in 3 days....and looked green and nice...waited a week before flooding the tank. Once tank was flooded, they started to melt within 2 days and some started uprooting. I gave up....ended up removing everything by hand and did a rescape.
