    hello,

maybe no one told you. some time back they were already on the verge of closing down.
this not just affect our hobby, some of the land is lost as the lease cost alot and hobby based trades lose to those large cos who are also after the land.

Frankly, when i 1st know of this is from the other pet side (dogs and cats).

Yes, I was also very sad.... My daughter and me were so enthusiastically hunting for those fish farms... They're all closed down.

Re: The end of farmway 2 and 3

I got a shock when I drove there and along Lor Harlus to find Capricorn over the last weekend... It was such a sad sight... And Capricorn owners also mentioned that in a year's time, they will also close down and won't be moving anywhere... Will simply just close down for good. And given that Teo's at Lim Chu Kang area is also gone, I really don't know where we can find such rustic places to visit and buy things from in the future...

Yes, Ivan, Capricorn Aquarium is looking at closing for good in about a year's time once their lease is up, according to the owners...

According to them, it is the Government that is taking back the land, not that they cannot afford to pay. I think the whole area is to be re-developed.

Unfortunately thats the direction G is heading. Repossess, tear down a green lung and built concrete jungle in place. Every square inch is not spared.

Not only so sad for the farmers there but also all the fish hobbyists who love those big fish shops there, like Nanyang Seaview, which has been there for decades. Moreover, those shops are easily accessible due to proximity to a main road. Huge fish farm shops are definitely the favourite joints amongst ardent fishkeeping hobbyists and professionals alike.
