    Hi,

    1st post in this forum.

My kids went to the Mainland Fish Farm for some longkang fishing.

We now have over mollies (or maybe swordfish?) and a snail.

Need help in identifying the below snail before I decide whether to keep it or not.

    Thanks in advance.

Re: Need help to ID snail

Might be a Channelled Apple Snail, Pomaea canaliculata, a South American species that has been introduced and is now widespread in many of our ponds, reservoirs, canals, and rivers, in fact in pretty much just about any body of freshwater is likely to be home to these apple snails. It's a voracious destroyer of aquatic plants, so I'm not sure if you should keep it in there.
    Small is beautiful.
