Ok thanks! I don't even know what they are called.

Care to share a picture of your endlers' tank? I understand that these fishes are from Central America? Wonder what kind of plants are in their biotope. I do recall seeing an article in TFH and their biotope looks really drab.

    Hi dorothy,

Obviously you haven't been around if you ONLY see him in three different places. Our man Choy travels far and wide (on the net that is).

I've also only started keeping them very recently.

    Hello Benny

I am only planning to keep one kind of fish and one strain, and decided it would be guppies. Originally it was Neon Tetra & Guppies, but the Neons just didn't do anything for me after thinking about them for a while. However I couldn’t make up my mind what kind of guppy, with Full Red then Reds being my preference, but these were too hard to find or the quality was variable.

Anyway I started looked at other strains and today I went to a breeder and got 10 male, 5 female Snakeskins that look exactly like the kind in the photos above. I must have taken over a hundred photos using my wife’s small digital camera… and everyone looked bad. Anyway I cannot wait until I have fry and there are many more to form a yellow mosaic wall in the tank. I will let you know if this occurs in line with my expectations.

    Hi Rupert,

That's certainly interesting. I think the yellow snakeskin will be a complimentary color to go with green and well as red plants.

Looking forward to seeing your creation soon (They breed fast you know)!!

    Cheers,

For planted tanks to keep guppies, it's better to buy the guppies from central america and not those from Asia. PH level for guppies from Asia is 7> while those from Central America <7.

This will not apply if your planted tank has a ph level>7.

    IMHO.
Save the wildlife. Do not buy endangered species.
