I don't put the dry fert (salt) directly into the tank. Instead, I premixed with distill water and then dose to the tank.

Where do you guys get the salts or dry ferts from besides places like NA or the local lushgro? Been wanting to try out but so far only seen the NPK 12-12-12 for flowering plants at flourist and plant nurseries.

    Re: Diy dry ferts

You can get dry ferts from the following locations:

    1) HPC Hydroponics & Plant Care

    Location: Central
    Website: http://singaporehydroponics.com/

They are a supplier of hydroponic products, including Lushgro. You can email / call them to place order and pickup by appointment. Pickup is at their home office in a HDB flat at Crawford Lane (near ICA, Lavender road).

Walk-in is on Sunday only (I've never done walk-in).
I get my supplies from them since I'm located in the East.

    2) Eco City Hydrophonics

    Location: West, delivery options available
    Website: http://www.ecocityhydroponics.com

They are an online shop that does delivery for a small fee. Pickup is at their home office in a condo at Chua Chu Kang Loop.

They are a reseller of HPC, so essentially you're getting the same stuff and the same price. Check out their website for all the offerings, the catalog is comprehensive and informative.

    Other notes:

    - I've tried both above mentioned, and the owners are friendly and prompt with their replies. They have no issues with small orders. It's really quite easy and hassle free.

    - KNO3 dry form is not available for sale in Singapore. You can get the 5% solution form from them (need to ask for it, not listed on the website). Or you can try alternatives as your N source (e.g. Calcium Nitrate)

    Re: Diy dry ferts

Alright shall check the websites out, thanks for all that information. I've read some warnings when trying out dry ferts for trace. Think I will stick to just the NPK and iron for the dry ferts for now.
