Anyone faced a slow flow rate on a 2233?

Mine is very very low flow rate like 1 week after cleaning it. Clean twice in a month still low

2233 is the old discontinued model of the Eheim Ecco series? Perhaps try removing all the media and run a test to see if the flow is still slow.

If you checked all the parts are okay and the flow is still slow, then maybe the motor is just worn out over the years. Have to either replace the motor or just get a new filter model.

Or you can solve the problem by buying a power head or submersible pump to suck and push water from the tank to the canister filter. The canister filter need not be switched on.

A water control valve can also be used to fine tune the amount of water entering the canister filter. Power heads and pumps ranges from 500 to 3000 liters/hr and some can even control the water flow rate directly.

Cheaper than buying a new canister filter. Hope that helps.
