    Hi ,

    newbie here,,

Currently in my 22g tank, I have 8 red cherry shrimps and 5 bee shrimps.

I would like to add one more shrimp type and could you please advise what type of shrimps will be Ok to mix with current stock to avoid crossbreeding. (except amino and ghost shrimps, they grow too big)

Red nose shrimp should be fine if your bee shrimp are living well.

Another option you can look into is Malaya Shrimp as they can change colour to merge into the surroundings

Red nose shrimps get spooked easily. All my 10 red noses jumped out of my 2 feet.

East Ocean sells their fire red shrimps at 10pc for $10, so it works out to $1 each. You can choose and net them from the tank.

Note that the color and quality of the fire red shrimps do vary in the tank, so it depends on whether you are early enough to pick the nicest reddest ones when they are re-stocked. Its all about "fast hand fast leg".

I went there last week and yes it is 10$ for 10 pieces but I found that stocks have not that great colour. "That Aquarium" near Khatib mrt has stock with better colour but the price is 2$ per piece.

(PS: I do not have any involvement with that aquarium business, just would like to share some info)
