    Some updates:

This is the algae that been annoying me. The grow rate is damn crazy, every day I have to brush it off. Haven't got the time to get amano shrimp yet.

This is how it looks like after 2 days.

    Stroll in the park

Panda loach finally resting. Super active 24/7, hard to get a shot of them.

Full tank shot. First time doing planted tank...so forgive my aquascape haha.

    Thanks for all the comments!

I'm losing the battle with the brown thread algae. It's spreading throughout the tank, my glosso is 'infected' with the brown thread algae too.

Manual removal everyday but it's like impossible to remove 100% of them.

Tried to find red nose shrimps, but C328 and the lfs around there doesn't have it. Yamato didn't touch the algae too.

WC regularly once every week but still no improvement. I had to resort to tearing the moss out of the bonsai tree.

Got a period where I was too sick to do manual removal for two days, the brown thread algae had simply overrun the tank......to my horror......however the shrimps, panda loaches and ottos are still surviving.

Try green chapter for red nose.

How many snails you have? For my desktop tank, i need 3 abalone snail to keep my algae clear. 22cm length, 15cm width and 17cm height

You many wan to invest abit more snail for your tank

I too having algae problems. I find that algae forms on the christmas moss on rocks but not on the moss on the vertical wall.

Also it doesnt seem to form on the weeping moss on rocks.

If I recall correctly, I'm using weeping moss for my bonsai tree. The algae all started from the moss.

Went to took a look.....let's just say that I will wait for a fresh batch to come.

    Small update:

2 of the females are berried so far!

First time witnessing the shrimp mating dance, the whole tank went crazy looking for the female shrimp. Kind feel sad for the female, like getting 'gang raped' from all the males in the tank. Probably I should provide more hiding spots in the tank?

Feeling a sense of satisfaction when the shrimps are molting properly, eating and getting berried.

I will upload pics when I free to take them, currently busy with uni life.

try lowering your CO2 and lights on timing for algae problem? The colour of your algae doesn't look healthy.
