My riccia is not bubbling like crazy like last week. I am wondering why. anybody can help? My tank is 1.5ft and my lighting is 2x18W currently. before that it's only 9W+18W. i wonder is there anything wrong, there are only a few bubbles. what can i do now? i see that my riccia is growing but as it grows there's lesser and lesser bubbles.

No change in colour, looks greener. that's why it's strange. just change my CO2 maybe, insufficient, maybe, could be the reason

No i did not, what should the KH value be? i got a test kit which has to add some reagent, and the value depends on the number of drops. i forgot the brand. is it accurate? i don really think so? so may i know what effects KH has on the plants?

first u need to check yr PH, then u refer to the PH/KH chart to see what KH value u shld have... do a search in thekrib.. think someone recently post the link to it..

the chart works together with yr C02 reading in PPM.. or u can check yr PH and then look at the chart.. the diff colors represents diff PH level then u look at the KH level below..

    ie. PH 6.7 gives u a KH of 5
    PH 6.8 gives u a KH of 6-6.5

    Hi,
Thanks to all of you for your advice. it's just that my CO2 is insufficient, don have any problems yesterday after the supply is back from new bottle. my riccia has bubbled now, even more. beautiful sight, would love to go home tonight and look at it. however, i'm not happy with my hairgrass and glosso. my glosso has not even carpet the rest of the bottom area. i trimmed my hairgrass and the tips seem to be turning brown. i'm thinking of removing the glosso and hairgrass and make way for a full riccia carpet. what should i do? anyone please advice
