Question on adding new soil in glass pod

Hi,

I am thinking of adding one of these glass pods that can be fixed onto the sides of the tank walls.

Am planning to use Ada Amazonia in the glass pod. I would like to know if I can just put this directly into the aquarium or I should wash/soak the Ada soil first. Especially since Ada soil does give out a fair bit of ammonia during the initial stages.

My tank is a standard 2 ft.

Appreciate any advice from the masters here.

No need to soak, if your filter is mature and your tank already has a good amount of plants, the small addition of Aquasoil is negligible.

A few weeks ago I added about 13 litres to my 6 foot tank to replace my sand foreground. No problems with fish or algae.

If you want to play safe, add the pods 1 pod every 2 weeks, instead of all in one go. Also make sure they are near mature plants. Once stable, you can move them to your preferred spot.

Thanks vinz. Great to hear that it's no problem. Tank has been setup for 8 months and plants are mature. Am intending to put in only 1 glass pod.
