Spmort , a few upgrade recommendation for your setup if you don't mind . Get a bucket big enough and place your canister filter in that bucket , a pail is ok too . The bucket or pail is used to catch the water should your canister filter start to leak . It is not a question how but when and it will , after a prolong period so it's better to prepare than be sorry . Myself , I was using the Ikea Samla container for my Eheim canister filter and recommend this to all of my colleague using canister filter .

2nd upgrade , if you have the funds , is to get the Eheim Installation Set 1 . This would be connected to the inlet side hose of your canister filter . This upgrade will make your life easier when you need to prime the hose . It has a cap that you could open and pour water into , using a funnel , and fill the inlet hose with water . Although your canister filter has a priming pump , believe me , it is hard to use it in an enclosed area and the leak will occur from either the priming pump or from the worn out canister filter seal . That's why my 1st recommendation is essential .
