    Hi,

Managed to borrow a digital camera to take a few shots of both my planted tanks. First time using a digital camera, so it is a bit blur. Water also quite cloudy for the 5 footer. Hope it will clear soon. Feel free to comment.

    David,

Thought it can be submerged as well. Any significance difference in placing the indicator near the surface or submerged?

Basically not much. It is personal preference where you like it near the surface or anywhere else.

Yes, it should be submerged (of course).

The pressure difference may cause difference in the reading. I uses Sera indicator which also must be place close to the surface.

won't make a difference where you have it
it'll just achieve equilibrium with tank water

i guess its personal preference....for me think it is easier to maintain the indicator with its new the surface......plus the fact that spilling the liquid is less.....
