Managed to borrow a digital camera to take a few shots of both my planted tanks. First time using a digital camera, so it is a bit blur. Water also quite cloudy for the 5 footer. Hope it will clear soon. Feel free to comment.

Yes, it should be submerged (of course).

it's also known as the bochup style
The pressure difference may cause difference in the reading. I uses Sera indicator which also must be place close to the surface.----------------
