They will survive but will be better if the temp is lower. 23-25 degree C will be good. Java moss will grow faster then the rest. Easiest to grow among all.

Had started a nano shrimp tank with some X'mass moss and java fern for about 1.5 week. As the tank is placed in my room. At night , where I usually switched on the air-con, the temp will drop to 23.5C. But the temp will rise during the day, the temp will rise up to around 28C even with a PC fan blowing 24/7. So far, the x'mass moss seems to have grown a bit. It seems to have become greener and somewhat bushier along each 'branch'. Will continue to observe how the growth will turn out to be in this 50% low temp, 50% high temp condition.

I usually close my door after I off my air-con. I find that the air is cooler after i return from work compare to leaving the door open.

I have no chillers so my tank temp hovers arpund 26 to 28 deg C throughout the day. Better not get any of those moss then.

26 to 28 C is good enough for both Taiwan and Christmas moss.
More important is to ensure you have low bioload .

dun worry... 26 to 28 is okay. i grew my erect and taiwan in tanks with and without chiller. in the tank without chiller (temp avg 28 degC) erect moss's triangular frond may not be uniform but taiwan no diff to those in tank with chiller at 25 degC.

give it a try, they shld turn out fine.

I see. I just wanted to replace my Java Moss with other mosses as they grow quite messy in my tanks and they need frequent trimming. Think I will give Taiwan moss a try 1st and see what happens.

You have to look carefully at each individual piece to differentiate. else it'd all b a big green blob, heh. Best way is to look at tanks with these mosses to see how differently they look when they grow out.
