I would recommend rummy nose tetra for schooling. Very nice if they swim in a 4ft tank.
For color, I would recommend cardinal tetra. Like their red and neon color.
I would say it depends on your preference ultimately as you will be viewing it daily.
Hi, new member here!! I'm currently in the process of Cycling my 4ft tank to prepare to restock it. My dilemma now is on which species of fish to keep, anyone has any ideas? I want them to be hardy yet beautiful and easy to keep. Any help is appreciated thanks guys!!

Any medium sized fish to recommend? Was thinking of maybe parrot fish or angel fish? Somewhere along that line
The good thing about fishkeeping is the huge variety of fish available to suit any imagination and preference, from the humble red-eye balloon tetra to the cute pleco to the tamest koi. There's sure to be something to suit anyone. That's the beauty of fishkeeping. ☺
LIFE IS UNBEARABLE WITHOUT A FISH TANK!!!
Boesemani Rainbows. Schools and cute as puppies, will beg for food.
It depends on what kind of scape do you want. Planted or just plain rocks?

African cichlids are engaging and they will follow you if you pass by the tank.
