Fish ID, please help

Hi, went to Polyart earlier on, asked for hardly fish recommendation
was recommended 黄金甲
no idea what it was, but bought it anyway, thinking that I can probably google out its english name
but guess i overestimated my google capabilities

Can any kind souls here help me ID this fish?
its about 5 cm long, huge eyes, yellowish gold, selling at $1 each

Golden colour variety of the Striped Panchax.

These guys have known to jump out of tanks that aren't covered, might want to watch out for that.

Yeah, Aplocheilus lineatus (striped panchax)... strong jumpers. Highly advisable to put a cover on the tank.

Also avid dwarf shrimp eaters too, their mouths can open surprisingly wide and swallow small shrimps whole. I kept a few before and watched them wipe out my entire tank of cherry shrimps within a few days. I guess at least they had a good meal.
