just be patience.....they are not MAGICIAN.....
Thanks alot, my riccia has bubbled, even more bubbles. was due to lack of co2 now with new bottle, no problem. but i don notice much growth from my glosso and hairgrass, should i remove them and make it into a full riccia carpet flooring? what should i do? i trimmed my hairgrass on monday and the tips are brown, my glosso are growing only abit taller but didn't even cover even some space. i'm not sure how long must i wait. even my xmas moss, suppose to be slow-growth, is aledy growing noticeably. my xmas moss seems to grow faster than my glosso and hairgrass! so let's play abit of "who wants to be a millionaire" here,i'm stuck with this question, i'm in need of the audiences votes, so should i:
A) wait for glosso and hairgrass to grow
B) remove them and replace with other plants (examples?)
C) remove them and put with riccia?
D) add fertiliser
what's your final answer?

Some folks here wait a year to get that fabulous lawn.
Sometimes plants just need time to adjust to the specific conditions of a tank. Heck, my MMs trudged along with utter reluctance for months before turning into a weed. Crypts are even better, they can take a year to get established.
Be patient!
Most plants with extended root structures will need time for the roots to be establish before you see any propagation. Therefore, you will probably see riccia and moss start propagating almost immediately compared to hairgrass and glosso. You will find the hairgrass and glosso to start propagating after 1-2 months.
You asked about adding fertilisers. Are you not adding any now?

I believe the size of gravel do affect the propogation of plants. Too fine or too coarse may hinder sideway propogation.----------------
