My goldfish became inactive and stay near water surface. Water test seem ok. And I do see the goldfish occasionally rubbing against the glass

Anyone can kindly advise how to treat this?

1st wrong type of lights, check the water parameter.

Make sure they are not having redness all over their body. That is a sign your filter is not working properly. They will eat like crazy dirty the tank like crazy

Shifu is right.Goldfish can eat non-stop as long as food is given to them. When I was keeping goldfish before, I like them to be fattenekd, so I fed them several times a day.
As you can imagine, there was a lot of solid strings of poo all over the tank each morning. I did 100% water change every day, otherwise the water will not be presentable. That was how I discovered how valuable aged water can be. If one does 100% water change every day with tap water, one can be assured that the fish will not live a few days.
